Privacy Policy

Mr. Quizo is an Islamic trivia game. We know that Mr. Quizo is played by families and by children, so we have deliberately built it to collect as little personal information as possible.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect:

• In the Mr. Quizo mobile application
• Through email or support messages between you and us

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected by third-party websites, applications or services that may be linked from the Game, or by the app store from which you download Mr. Quizo. Those parties have their own privacy policies.

Mr. Quizo is suitable for children, and this section takes priority over anything else in this policy.

Children can play Mr. Quizo entirely in guest mode, which requires no email address, no sign-up and no personal information at all. This is the mode we recommend for children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian. An account should only be created for a child under 13 by, or with the consent of, that parent or guardian.

We never show advertising in Mr. Quizo, and we never use any child’s information for advertising, behavioural profiling or marketing.

We never sell or rent any player’s personal information, and we never disclose a child’s personal information to third parties for their own purposes.

Parents and guardians have the right at any time to:

• Review the personal information we hold about their child
• Ask us to correct it
• Ask us to delete it and close the account
• Refuse to permit any further collection of their child’s information

To exercise any of these rights, email support@quizo.games from the address associated with the account, or tell us enough about the account for us to identify it. We may ask you to verify your identity before we act, in order to protect the child’s privacy. We will not ask a child to provide more information than is reasonably necessary to play the Game.

If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without the required parental consent, we will delete that information and close the account promptly.

a) If you play as a guest

• No account is created and we do not ask for your name, email address or any other identifying detail
• Your game progress is stored on your device

b) If you register an account

• Email address
• Password (stored only in encrypted / hashed form — we never store or see your password in plain text)
• Display name or nickname, if you choose one
• Where sign-in with Apple or Google becomes available: the basic account identifier and email address those services provide to us, in accordance with your choices in that service. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.

c) Gameplay information

• Questions answered, scores, streaks, correct and incorrect answers, categories played, and progress or level
• Feedback, corrections or reports you choose to send us

d) Technical information

• Device type, operating system and application version
• Approximate region derived from your connection, and language setting
• Crash reports, error logs and basic usage statistics used to fix problems and improve the Game

e) What we do not collect

• Payment card or bank details — Mr. Quizo is free and we take no payments
• National ID or passport numbers
• Precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data
• Advertising identifiers for behavioural advertising

Directly from you — when you register, choose a nickname, contact support or send us feedback.

Automatically — as you use the Game, we collect technical and gameplay information as described above, mainly in aggregated or statistical form, to keep the Game working correctly and to improve it.

From service providers — our hosting and infrastructure providers process information on our behalf and under our instructions. We do not buy personal information about you from data brokers, advertising networks or social media platforms.

Our website Mr. Quizo.games may use cookies and local storage that are necessary for the site to function and to remember basic preferences.

The Mr. Quizo application uses local device storage to save your settings and your progress. We do not use cookies, pixels or similar technologies for behavioural advertising, and we do not permit third parties to do so in the Game.

You can set your browser to block or alert you about cookies. If you disable them, some parts of the website may not work properly.

We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:

• To operate the Game — to create and maintain your account, present questions, save your progress and let you resume where you left off
• To display rankings — where the Game shows a leaderboard, your chosen display name and score may be visible to other players. Your email address is never shown to other players. If you prefer not to appear, choose a nickname that does not identify you, or play as a guest.
• To provide support — to answer your questions, investigate reports and respond to complaints
• To send service messages — such as password resets, security notices and important changes to the Game or to these policies. These are not marketing messages and are necessary to provide the service.
• To improve and secure the Game — to fix bugs, analyse performance, improve question quality, and detect cheating, abuse or unauthorised access
• To meet legal obligations — where we are required to do so by law

We do not use your information for advertising or behavioural profiling, and we do not sell, rent or trade it.

We share personal information only where it is necessary, and only with:

• Service providers and contractors who support our operations — for example hosting, database, email delivery, crash reporting and analytics providers. They may process your information only on our instructions, only for the purposes we specify, and must protect it.
• Our affiliates, where necessary to operate and support the Game, under the same protections set out in this policy.

We may also disclose information:

• To comply with applicable law, regulation or legal process, or to respond to a lawful request from a regulator or public authority
• To enforce our Terms of Use or investigate suspected cheating, fraud or abuse
• To protect the rights, property or safety of the Company, our players, or others
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of assets — in which case we will require the recipient to honour this policy, and we will notify you of any material change
• With your consent, or with the consent of a parent or guardian where the account belongs to a child

We may share aggregated or anonymised statistics that cannot identify any individual without restriction.

• We keep your account information for as long as your account is active
• If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we are required to keep certain records to comply with a legal obligation or to resolve a dispute
• Guest play data is stored on your device and is removed when you uninstall the Game or clear its data
• Technical logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised

You — or a parent or guardian on behalf of a child — may at any time:

• Access the personal information we hold about the account
• Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
• Delete the account and the personal information associated with it
• Object to or ask us to restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent previously given, without affecting processing already carried out

You can update your details in the Game where that option is available, or contact us at support@quizo.games. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request, in order to protect the account. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Because Mr. Quizo sends no marketing messages, there is no marketing list to unsubscribe from. If this ever changes, we will ask for your consent first and give you a clear way to opt out.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure, including:

• Storing data on secure servers protected by firewalls and access controls
• Encrypting data in transit using SSL/TLS
• Storing passwords only in hashed form
• Limiting access to personal data to staff who need it to do their work

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your part in keeping the account safe:

• Keep your password confidential and do not share your account
• Use a password you do not use elsewhere
• Log out after using a shared device

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@quizo.games.

Your information may be stored and processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including by our hosting providers. Where information is transferred, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to the standard described in this policy and as required by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

• Changes will be posted here with an updated “Last updated” date
• Where changes are significant, we will notify you in the Game before they take effect
• Where a change materially affects information already collected from a child under 13, we will seek fresh parental consent before applying it
